McDill students build relationships, leadership skills on overnight trip

McDill Elementary School fifth-graders and their teachers embarked on an adventurous and educational overnight stay at Boston School Forest on May 10.

The fifth-graders spent the school day at the forest studying environmental habitats, building homes for forest creatures, participating in team-building activities designed to strengthen student relationships and engaging in exciting hands-on science activities. A few students left the forest when the school day was over, but the majority of them stayed to camp overnight with their friends.
