Fire destroys garage in Baileys Harbor; house saved

Northern Door fire departments sprang into action around midnight Monday in response to a house fire off Wisconsin 57 on Ridges Road in Baileys Harbor.

A three-stall garage attached to the home was fully engulfed in flames when fire trucks arrived, according to Baileys Harbor Fire Chief Brian Zak.

The wood frame structure had a metal roof and sides, but the roof had already collapsed, Zak said. The home at 2215 Ridges Road, owned by Gerald and Caroline Muehleck, was not occupied. ...
