Three people were injured when a vehicle was rear-ended at 11:34 a.m. Saturday in the town of Liberty Grove.

David Matuzewich, Woodridge, Ill., was traveling north on Wisconsin 42, south of Porcupine Bay Road, and was slowing to a stop for traffic when his Toyota was struck from behind by a Ford Escape driven by Bailey Rose Higginbotham, 20, Sister Bay, according to a Door County Sheriff's Department accident report.

Higginbotham and a passenger in the vehicle that was struck, Dawn Matuzewich, Woodridge, Ill., were both taken by ambulance to a hospital. David Matuzewich was injured but not medically transported.

Both vehicles were severely damaged. Higginbotham was cited for inattentive driving.
