Dredging grant postpones highway work

Drivers on Washington Island will have to wait for the repaving of County W, while motorists traveling Duluth Avenue in Sturgeon Bay will have a smoother road this summer as the result of the County Board's Highway Committee approval Monday of revisions to the 2013 road repair schedule.

County Highway Superintendent John Kolodziej said his department plans rebuilding about 17 miles of county's lettered highways each year - about 5 percent of the county's total mileage.
