A man in a Vikings purple sombrero involved in a post-Packers game fight is facing a new, higher-degree battery charge that could mean as many as six years in prison.

Mark Swanson, 40, of Lakeland, Minn., who wore the hat following the Packers-Vikings game on Dec. 2, had been accused of substantial battery, which would have subjected him to a possible penalty of 3.5 years in prison. But prosecutors on Tuesday filed a new charge of aggravated battery against him that could mean six years in prison.
