City Hall commentary: City seeking to go 'paperless'

This past week the City Council approved standard guidelines for a program we have incorporated into our Common Council meetings, along with most committee boards and commissions, to go paperless. Not too long ago the alders received iPads to start a process of going completely paperless to reduce paper costs and many duplicate documents.

City Hall has been fitted to be wireless throughout the building and citizens are also able to access the free Internet when at City Hall. This has already cut down drastically on paper use for Council members and it is very convenient to access all ...
