The Humane Society of Portage County will host its annual Walk for Wags fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 23 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park. The event is sponsored by Team Schierl Companies.

Animal lovers, as well as their canine friends, are invited to attend. There will be a 1.5-mile walk, as well as many activities during the day. Attractions include games for kids, pony rides, agility and search-and-rescue demonstrations, music, a pet costume contest, vendors with pet-related items to purchase, and a raffle to win great baskets and prizes. Admission is free.

Those who participate in the walk will receive a T-shirt and lunch compliments of Subway with a minimum pledge of $35. Additional prizes are available for walkers collecting more pledges. To download a registration/pledge form, go to www.hspcwi.org. You also can register at the Humane Society, 3200 Iber Lane, Plover.
