Clean-up Day offers fun and education at Nepco Lake Park

People can have fun, get some exercise and learn about the importance of protecting local lakes Friday at the Nepco Lake Clean-up Day, organizers say.

This is a first-time event to raise awareness of the value of keeping local lakes clean, said Kaycie Stushek, aquatic invasive species outreach specialist for Golden Sands Resource and Development Council. Golden Sands' outreach efforts include work in five counties, including Wood and Portage.
