Once upon a time, Cupid was flying between the earth and the moon with his arrow ready to strike the heart of a beautiful young mortal maiden. What happened exactly we do not know, but the arrow missed her heart and struck instead a milk-white pansy, turning it purple with desire. From that time on, the flower was magical.

Felt the pull of a full moon; imagined fairies riding fireflies, sprinkling enchanted glitter in their wake, heightening your senses and filling your heart with anticipation?
Too long, I'll bet.
