Witnesses help catch Neenah gas station thief

Jun. 14, 2013

NEENAH — A man reached over the Pump N Munch gas station counter Thursday, grabbed money from the cash register and ran from the Neenah store.

A 25-year-old man is accused of the theft and being held at the Winnebago County Jail, said the Neenah Police Department.

Lakeview Credit Union employees told police they saw a man around 3 p.m. run from the gas station at 101 E. Bell St. toward a nearby apartment complex. Police canvassed the neighborhood and found the suspect in about an hour along with some of the property stolen from the gas station.
