Plea deal reached in domestic violence case

A Kimberly man who was standing trial on an attempted homicide charge stemming from a brutal domestic assault has pleaded no contest to a lesser charge.

Dennis J. Gross, 47, was found guilty of first-degree reckless endangerment at a Thursday plea hearing. Gross entered into a plea agreement after 2 days of trial in Outagamie County Court.

A 38-year-old woman who had a relationship with Gross detailed a savage beating when she testified on Tuesday. She said she was struck with a hammer, choked and beaten with a broken toilet seat. ...
