It was a hole the St. Mary Central girls' soccer team could never quite dig itself out of Friday.

Racine Prairie School scored four first-half goals and outshot St. Mary Central 20-14 in the Hawks' 5-2 victory over St. Mary Central in a WIAA Division 3 state semifinal game at Uihlein Soccer Park.

"We had a couple of unfortunate incidents and then we dug a hole and that is one solid team to try and fight back on," St. Mary Central coach Gary Kruger said. "They're solid everywhere. There's no breaks. There's no weak spots. They're a very physical team." ...
