RELAY FOR LIFE: Waupun woman offers lesson of hope

While she has waged a long and difficult fight with cancer, Lisa Rae Rens hopes to share a message of strengh and humility today at Waupun's Relay For Life at Rock River Intermediate School.

The Waupun resident and this year's honorary Relay chair was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in October 2011. Since then she has fought an uphill battle.

"I was diagnosed on a Friday and had emergency surgery on Sunday," Rens said. ...
