Area racing: Van Pay takes high groove to victory

It was a night for veteran drivers at Luxemburg Speedway on Friday as R.M. Van Pay of Denmark won the IMCA modified feature and Rod Snellenberger of Pulaski took the IMCA stock car main event.

Van Pay used the high groove to take the lead from Eric Van Iten of Green Bay on the 14th of 20 laps. Snellenberger was fast on the low side of track and wrested the the top spot from Dave DeGrave of Luxemburg.

The feature victories were the first of the season for both veteran drivers. ...
