Gay community organizes march amid doubts about pride parade

One member of Wausau's gay community is planning a "march for equality" next weekend as questions have arisen about the city's upcoming gay pride parade and its organizer.

Shannon Thomas, owner of event planning firm One Girl Creative, has organized the March for Equality to take place June 22 at the same time and place as the planned gay pride parade, from Marathon Park to The 400 Block in downtown Wausau. She said lack of communication between organizer Daxx Bouvier and anyone in the Wausau lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community has her concerned that the parade either is a hoax or ...
