Rothschild police captain to take over as interim chief

Dean Albrecht was Jeremy Hunt's supervisor when Hunt first joined the Rothschild Police Department in 1996. More than 17 years later, Hunt will take over for Albrecht as interim chief when Albrecht retires his post at the end of June.

Albrecht officially will retire in mid-September, but Hunt - currently second in command - will take over at the end of June when Albrecht leaves to use accumulated vacation time.

Together, the pair have more than 53 years of experience at the department, and Albrecht's retirement comes 36 years after he began his career in law enforcement. ...
