School Board to further study proposed Nekoosa Academy relocation

Proposal to move alternative school to high school property garners criticism from parents

School Board members want to take more time to study the implications of relocating the district's alternative school, though the proposal has some parents concerned.

In order to obtain more information on the issue, the board decided during Tuesday's meeting to hold off on making any decisions about relocating the Nekoosa Academy from its current location inside the former Alexander Middle School building, which also houses the Boys & Girls Club, to the high school, Superintendent Terry Whitmore said.
