Men injured in Wood County train crash remain in fair condition

Two men injured Saturday when a train hit their pickup truck, remained in fair condition Thursday.

Donald S. Landis, 31, Rhinelander, and Mitchell Landis, 18, Viroqua, both were flown to Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, following the crash, which occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to a preliminary crash report from the Wood County Sheriff's Department, Donald Landis was driving a pickup north on Highway 80, in Dexter, when he failed to stop for flashing red railroad lights at a crossing near Highway 54. ...
