Jury selected in Sheboygan teen's murder trial

Eleven men and three women were selected as jurors Friday morning to decide the fate of 14-year-old Nathan Paape, who is accused of taking part in the murder of his friend's great-grandmother in September.

Jury selection got under way shortly after 8:30 a.m. in Sheboygan County Circuit Court, with the jurors seated and sworn in after about two hours of questioning.

Paape's weeklong trial begins Monday before Circuit Court Judge Timothy Van Akkeren. District Attorney Joe DeCecco is expected to begin calling witnesses that morning and should wrap up the state's case by Wednesday. ...
