About the only thing missing from the recently concluded Stevens Point Area Senior High baseball season was a happy ending.

The script featured the underdog overcoming heavy graduation losses - SPASH lost 12 seniors from last year's state semifinal team - to reach the state title game.

A team that was left for dead entering the bottom of the seventh inning in the WIAA Division 1 state championship game, trailing defending state champion Sun Prairie 4-2 with two outs and no one on base. ...
