Local student places in trooper art, essay contest

The Wisconsin Troopers' Association is pleased to announce that a local student has placed in its annual statewide Art and Essay Contest.

An art entry titled "Granite Peak Parks 2013" submitted by Teal Lucas, a second-grade student of Patricia Larsen at Washington Elementary School in Wisconsin Rapids, was selected as a winner for this year's competition. Teal, the child of Daniel Lucas and Kristen Lucas, received a $50 check and certificate of award.

All the winners, honorable mentions along with their family, teachers and friends were invited to attend an awards ceremony held on May 4 at ...
