Once the season was over, the accolades quickly became a distant memory for Casey Hayward.

Sure, there were the six interceptions and the NFL defensive rookie of the year candidacy that coincided with the 5-foot-11 cornerback's blockbuster debut for the Green Bay Packers in 2012.

Back in the classroom at Vanderbilt wrapping up his degree in sociology, however, Hayward couldn't think of anything other than the events that unfolded on Jan. 12, 2013. ...
