On Father's Day, local families will find ways to show appreciation for dads and the role they play in life's most important moments.

The traditional image of fathers involves the care they show when children say their first words, ride their bicycle without training wheels or lose their first tooth. They also build fond memories as they walk their daughters down the aisle, shake their graduating senior's hand or hand over the car keys for the first time.
