City officials are considering including Tomahawk cases in the city's municipal court, a move that would better serve residents and could add revenue, officials say.

Merrill City Council members Tuesday discussed the future of Merrill's municipal court, which hears cases ranging from speeding tickets to underage drinking violations to disorderly conduct, and whether to keep it as is, abolish it and send cases to Lincoln County Circuit Court or to include the city of Tomahawk in the court's coverage area.
