Sales numbers, prices continue rise from depths of recession

Home sales and prices grew modestly in Brown County during May, and were stronger in the region and across the state.

The median sales price in the county was $142,750, up 4.2 percent from May 2012, and sales were 2.6 percent higher. In the 14-county Northeast region, the median price was $127,000, up 6.3 percent, and sales were 11.8 percent higher. Statewide, the median price was $144,000, up 4.3 percent, and sales were 18.2 percent higher.
