The Sentry Insurance Foundation has awarded scholarships to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to four Sentry Insurance employees' dependents: Amy Piotrowski, Bryana Reisenauer, Alyson Sweno and Marissa Warzynski. Each recipient will receive a $2,500 freshman-year scholarship at UWSP. They are each eligible to receive an additional $2,500 per year for up to three years.
? Amy Piotrowski, a 2013 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High, is the daughter of Tanya and Jim Piotrowski. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Senate and Future Business Leaders of America. She is a Scholar Athlete, participating on the girl's swim team and soccer team, and received an academic letter for four years of high school. Piotrowski is undecided on her college major.
? Bryana Reisenauer, a 2013 SPASH graduate, is the daughter of Jeff and Angela Reisenauer, and Sara and Paul Stanchik. She was on the honor roll for four years of high school. Reisenauer was a member of the SPASH varsity girls basketball team for three years, participated with the AAU Mada All-stars for four years and was a Point Fastpitch participant. She plans to pursue a degree in mathematics or business administration.
? Alyson Sweno, a 2013 graduate of Marathon High School, is the daughter of Mike and Andrea Sweno. She has been a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the yearbook team. In addition, she participated in volleyball and track. Sweno has been recognized for Marathon Pride - Academic Excellence throughout her four years of high school. She plans to major in psychology.
? Marissa Warzynski, a 2013 graduate of Almond-Bancroft High School, is the daughter of Audrey and Charlie Warzynski. She is the valedictorian of her graduating class. Warzynski earned Outstanding Academic Excellence by the President's Education Awards Program all four years of high school, 10 department awards, a certificate of merit by the Society of Women Engineers organization, All Academic Conference Award for two years and Academic All Star Nominee her senior year. She plans to major in accounting.
The scholarship winners were selected based on academic achievements, leadership abilities, and involvement in extracurricular and community activities.
