Couple celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Leonard and Lorraine Glodowski of Stevens Point recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. A Mass of thanksgiving was held June 1 at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam as celebrant. A dinner also was held at Michele's Restaurant.

Original attendant Gladys Shafranski was present.

The former Lorraine Kluck and Leonard Glodowski were married on June 1, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.

Leonard is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Lorraine, a registered nurse, is retired from Ministry Saint Michael's Hospital.

Children of the couple are Judie (Richard) Pfiffner, David (Brenda) Glodowski, Gery Glodowski and Mary (Chris) Sadler.

They have eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
