Couple mark 50 years of marriage

Pat and David Strelke of Stevens Point recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The former Pat Withrow and David Strelke were married on Feb. 16, 1963, at the Church of the Assumption in Washington, D.C.

David was in the U.S. Navy for four years and retired after 32 years from Prudential Insurance. Pat was a homemaker and also worked for and retired from Sentry Insurance after 25 years of employment.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a Mass at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point and a brunch at Sky Club in Plover. They also celebrated on Feb. 16 with their friends in Hollywood, Fla., where they reside for the winter.

Children of the couple are Jeannean Strelke, Rene (Randy) Jerzak and Melinda (Todd) Whelihan. They have four grandchildren.
