TOWN OF UNITY - One person has died following a train and car collision in the town of Unity.

The accident occurred sometime around 9:15 a.m. on Century Road, west of Highway 13, between Basswood and Hiline Avenues.

The Clark County coroner is currently on the scene of an accident, that involved a single occupant in the vehicle.

The name of the individual has not yet been released by authorities.

Our reporter on the scene said there is a stop sign on Century Road where the railroad tracks cross, but the intersection does not have signal lights or railroad arms to prevent traffic from crossing as a train approaches.
