The Miss Wisconsin Pageant begins Wednesday night in Oshkosh.

Miss Door County Samantha Cole will have a busy day on Wednesday. She is scheduled to have a personal interview in the afternoon with a panel of five judges and then will participate in the talent and evening gown competitions in the evening.

On Thursday she is set to compete in swimsuit and on-stage question.

Cole is a graduate of Gibraltar High School and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Psychology. Her platform is suicide prevention, and she plans to perform "Concertino for Flute" by Cecile Shaminade. She is the daughter of Jerald and Holly Cole of Sturgeon Bay.

Preliminary competition at Miss Wisconsin is on Wednesday and Thursday with the new Miss Wisconsin crowned Saturday night at Alberta Kimball Auditorium in Oshkosh.

Miss Door County's Outstanding Teen Abbigayle Grosbeier will compete for the title of Miss Wisconsin's Outstanding Teen on Friday. Grosbeier is the daughter of Thomas and April Grosbeier of Brussels and will be a junior at Southern Door High School in the fall.

Abbigayle's platform is bullying prevention, and she plans to sing "So Small" by Carrie Underwood in the talent competition.
