Rural author Apps holds book signing at The Clearing

The Clearing Folk School in Ellison Bay will host a book signing for celebrated rural historian Jerry Apps from 4 to 6 p.m. June 22, after his teaching a daylong writing workshop at The Clearing.

Apps will discuss and sign copies of his latest and most personal book, "Limping through Life: A Farm Boy's Polio Memoir," which was selected a "Midwest Connections Pick" by the Midwest Booksellers Association in April. Many of his books, including "Limping through Life," are available in The Clearing's bookstore and gift shop.
