Fire crews responded Wednesday morning to a small fire at a home on Brown County J.

The flames were contained to the kitchen and a crawl space. The rest of the house had smoke damage. Firefighters tore down the home's east wall to make sure the fire stayed contained.

No one was injured. The homeowners have been on vacation since Friday.

Crews from Hobart, Pulaski and Howard responded to the fire.

Hobart Fire Chief Jerry Lancelle said they are waiting for fire investigators to determine the cause of the fire.
