Dedication ceremony held to honor late veteran David Rasmussen

A supporter and a provider for fellow military veterans until his death four years ago, David Rasmussen was honored on Flag Day.

The Desert Veterans of Wisconsin dedicated a memorial flag and military flagpole in memory of Rasmussen during a ceremony Friday, June 14, outside Unity, the Ledgeview nonprofit that provides hospice, palliative and bereavement care services.

Several of Rasmussen's family members, including his mother, Deloris Rasmussen of De Pere, and friends attended the event. ...
