Adams man amends plea in homicide case

A 28-year-old Adams man authorities say fatally shot his girlfriend when she startled him out of his sleep changed his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity.

Coleman E. Dybul previously pleaded not guilty to first-degree reckless homicide in the shooting death of Toni N. Voss, 27, of Adams. On Wednesday, Waushara County Circuit Judge Guy Dutcher, acting as a substitute judge in the Adams County case, ordered a psychiatric evaluation and scheduled a status conference for Aug. 6.
