Jury deliberations pass seventh hour in Cooper trial

As a jury continued to deliberate the fate of Brian M. Cooper in Door County Circuit Court, questions sent to the judge suggest a disagreement over whether Cooper intended to murder his pregnant friend.

Cooper, 36, is charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of third-degree sexual assault in the early morning Aug. 19 death of Alisha Bromfield, 21, and her unborn daughter, Ava. Bromfield, also of Plainfield, was six months pregnant; Cooper was not the baby's father.
