Capital, Pioneer credit unions merging

Financial combination will create one of state's largest

When two regional credit unions combine operations in 2014 the merged company will create one of the state's largest in that sector.

Kimberly-based Capital Credit Union and Pioneer Credit Union in Green Bay on Thursday announced they will merge operations next year.

The combined businesses will operate as Capital Pioneer Credit Union and will be led by Alan Zierler, now the president and CEO of Capital. He will serve as CEO of the combined businesses, while Tom Young, president of Pioneer, will become president of the new operation and oversee day-to-day functions. ...
