The two-day foodie fest Savour Green Bay that features the work of area restaurants, breweries and wineries starts Friday night in downtown Green Bay.

The event, which started two years ago, is expected to attract more than the 4,000 people who attended last year.

Savour Green Bay features area restaurants using fresh ingredients and making small-portion samplings of their menus. Each dish and pairing has separate costs in the $2 to $9 range, just a fraction of the cost of most of the dishes in the actual restaurants. There's also a pub featuring more than 20 local craft beers and wine.
