Boys & Girls Club adds 100 new members in June

The Boys & Girls Club of the Wausau Area had more than 100 new applicants this summer in the first week of June, and officials for the organization hope a recently completed addition at Greenheck Field House will help the group grow and reach more youths.

Club members will officially move into their new space at Greenheck Field House at the end of June. The club currently hosts its high school programming in the lobby of the facility, and is often interrupted by sports and community events.

About 300 students were registered at the club's Greenheck site in Weston during the 2012-13 school year. On ...
