Olde Ellison Bay Days takes top billing next week in Ellison Bay. It all begins with the Pie Baking Contest judging from noon to 2 p.m. Friday. Call Janice Thomas at (920) 854-2008 for details.

From noon to 5 p.m., there will be working artists' demonstrations in the park along with food, children's art activities and games. At 6:30 p.m. a pie and ice cream social is planned at the club house.

An Art Fair and food of all kinds are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 29. The Grande Parade with grand marshal Tony Shalhoub begins at 11 a.m. From noon to 4 p.m. the water golf "shootout" will take place on the park pier. Find the prize-winning "pie by the slice" at the club house from noon to 6 p.m.

Music in the gazebo by Replica, and more food, are planned from noon to 6 p.m. At 3 p.m. anyone who is interested may hike the Grand View property; the information is available at the Land Trust booth and is free to all.

Parade and raffle prize winners will be announced at 4 p.m. at the gazebo. And from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., there will be music by Rocky Waters at Mink River Basin Supper Club.

Meanwhile

Beginning at 10 a.m. June 29, Jane and Jennifer Lee of Brew Coffeehouse, next to Mink River Basin, will have a tent set up between the two restaurants to sell "Bloody Merrys."

This is a fundraiser with the proceeds going to benefit Door County "Secret Santa" during the holidays. Their mission is to provide the essentials to needy families who are struggling at Christmastime.

Last year they raised enough money through your generosity to help 11 families in Door County. They hope to help many more this year.
