Allmendinger wins Johnsonville 200 at Road America

Road course specialist AJ Allmendinger was strong from start to finish in his first appearance behind a NASCAR Nationwide steering wheel in years.

The 31-year-old driver, making his first start since 2008 and earning his first-ever pole after a solid qualifying lap on Saturday, led for more than half the race and kept enough gas in his tank to survive a heated green-white finish and get his first Nationwide win at Road America's Johnsonville Sausage 200.
