You would never know it from the glossy spreads in magazines, but there's a down side to gardening.

And by a down side, I mean literally your head down and your back end ... well, up.

You know those wooden lawn cutouts of the grandma bending over in her gardens? Tacky, yes, but apparently rooted in reality - although I have yet to meet a gardener who wears a red dress with yellow polka dots while weeding. ...
