Shooting at casino puts focus on security, surveillance measures

A recent shooting at a Milwaukee casino is a troubling reminder to Indian gaming operators in Wisconsin that a highly visible security force and sophisticated surveillance measures are of paramount importance.

"We only get that one chance when people come in to make sure they're comfortable and secure," said Lisa Waukau, vice chair of the Menominee Indian Tribe, which runs a casino in Keshena. "We spend a lot on resources to make sure they are comfortable - inside and outside the casino."
