More than 1,300 racers got down and dirty at Kiekhaefer Park on Sunday, for the third annual Edge the Ledge competition.

Edge the Ledge is a three-mile adventure race around the park. As participants run along the trail, they're faced with hurdles, planks, walls, hills and TNT Fitness "Gladiators" that block their path.

Course designers planned for competitors to get dirty in a mud pit crawl, but due to recent storms, racers said the entire course was muddy and slippery. ...
