Meteorologists have amended earlier forecasts to call for a mostly sunny day today.

There's a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight, mainly after 2 a.m. A low temperature around 66 is predicted.

Tuesday should be partly sunny, but a 50 percent chance of rain, thunder and lightning continues. The high temperature should reach 81 degrees.

Thunderstorms and showers are likely Tuesday night, forecasters say, mainly after 8 p.m.
