The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is investigating a series of vandalism complaints reported early Sunday morning, according to a news release.

Deputies were called to a construction zone on Highway C east of Highway 17 in the town of Schley after numerous barricades were pushed over and seven of the flashing amber lights used to mark them were broken and left smashed on the roadway.

A short time later, deputies were called to the town of Scott, where 13 mailboxes and a town of Scott road sign was damaged. The damage was done on Fairview Road, Tannery Road and Creek Avenue.

Anyone who any information about these two damage cases is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department at 715-536-6272. Callers may also phone Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County at 715-536-3726. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
