Annual Kids' Day events celebrate children: Green Bay's 11th annual Kids' Day celebrated children with free, fun events throughout the city (June 25).

A free lunch in the park with Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt was just the beginning.

Leicht Memorial Park hosted more than 10 free attractions Tuesday as part of the daylong event. Besides eating lunch with Schmitt, kids could check out Green Bay fire and police vehicles, get their faces painted, play on inflatable toys and climb a tree - just to name a few.

"The free lunch and the nice weather brought us out today," said Shannon McVeigh, who was at Leicht park with her children. "It's nice to have a relatively cheap day and spend time with the kids." ...
