The Boys & Girls Club's bike club has started training for the fifth annual Tour de Boys & Girls 2013 Bike-A-Thon but is in need of more bikes.

The event, which takes place Aug. 10, at Travel Guard is expected to bring more than 350 participants this year. The races takes place throughout Portage County and consist of 4-mile family ride and a 13.5-, 23-, 37-, 47- and 62-mile ride.

Boys & Girls Club director of development and marketing Brittany Melby said with the number of people who participated last year, there is a need of bikes that kids can use now leading into the event. ...
