School Board will develop workshops

The Stevens Point Area Public School Board and administrators will develop workshops in an effort to make the board's work more efficient and focused.

Board member Christina Scott proposed the workshops, in part, because there are three new members and new officers. She said that the board needs to streamline its work, noting that the previous four board meetings lasted more than six hours each. The School Board on Monday passed the measure by a 7-2 vote, with members Kim Shirek and Lisa Totten voting no.
