Reflections and Directions: Hands-on culinary curriculum made school a taste treat

As of last Sunday, Leslie and I have been married 34 years. Not only did I marry a wonderful person, but she has one trait that most husbands really appreciate - she loves to cook and is very good at it.

I marvel at the fact that I still weigh 180 pounds. It's probably a tad too much for a person of my stature, but a tad is a lot better than what the consequences of 34 years of good food could have produced.

Actually, Leslie tries to produce balanced meals that have helped to keep the weight in check. I know if I was on my own, my ability to crank out a pretty darn decent grilled cheese and an assortment of peanut ...
