Look at saloons opens Players seminar series

Peninsula Players Theatre brings back its popular series of free public seminars for its eighth season, starting June 29 with a look at imbibing establishments in Wisconsin.

The seminars provide inside looks at topics related to the season's plays. They are held at the theater from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on select Saturdays.

With the current show at Players being the Terry Twyman stage Western "Saloon," the June 29 seminar features Jim Draeger, co-author of "Bottoms-Up: A Toast to Wisconsin's Historic Bars and Breweries (Places Along the Way.)" The book showcases the architecture and history of 70 ...
